Hyundai Kona Electric is launched in China with 204PS and 7.9 seconds to break 100KM/H. It is the cheapest EV in China!

Hyundai Kona Electric is officially launched in China, with three models available, 64kWh battery pack, 204PS horsepower, 7.9 seconds to break 100KM/H, and 484KM range, priced from RM149,888(Harga Hyundai Kona)!

The Hyundai Kona Electric is available in three models and two power configurations, which can be found below

Kona Electric Lite: 39.2kWh battery pack, 136PS+395Nm power, 0-100KM/H in 9.9 seconds, top speed 155KM/H, pure electric range up to 305KM, AC normal charging (power 7.2kW) 10%-80% in 6.5 hours, DC fast charging (power 50kW) 10-80% of the battery takes only 48 minutes.

Kona Electric Plus: With 39.2kWh battery pack, 136PS+395Nm power, 0-100KM/H in 9.9 seconds, top speed 155KM/H, pure electric range up to 305KM, AC normal charging (power 11kW) 10%-80% in 4.5 hours, DC fast charging (power 50kW) 10%-80% in 48 minutes. 10%-80% takes only 48 minutes.

Kona Electric Max: With 64kWh battery pack, 204PS+395Nm power, 0-100KM/H in 7.9 seconds, top speed 167KM/H, pure electric range up to 484KM, AC normal charging (power 11kW) 10%-80% in 7.5 hours, DC fast charging (power 50kW) 10%-80% in 64 minutes. DC fast charging (50kW) 10%-80% takes only 64 minutes.

In terms of safety features, the Kona Electric comes standard with Hyundai Smart Sense advanced active safety equipment, including automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning + assist, driver distraction warning and Auto High Beam. On the Kona Electric Plus and Max models, Hyundai Smart Sense features additional side blind spot detection, rear lateral blind spot detection, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go technology. The Kona Electric is also worthy its price.

In terms of appearance, the Kona Electric is basically the same as the regular gasoline version of the Kona, but with a more rounded aerodynamic package and Aerodynamics technology to help reduce the wind resistance of the car. Compared to our gasoline version of the Kona, the Electric does not need to help cool the engine, so all the air intakes on the front of the car are closed, creating a more sci-fi visual sense.

The interior of the Kona Electric is very Hyundai, full of Korean flavor, with 10.25-inch full LCD instrumentation, 8-inch multimedia touch screen entertainment console (supporting AppleCarPlay & Android Auto), multi-function steering wheel, EPB electronic handbrake, power seats, HUD head-up display, six audio speakers, and a digital display of the air conditioning controls. The interior of the Hyundai K3 is equipped with a digital display air conditioning panel and Wireless ChargePad (wireless charging slot for cell phones), and the interior has a good texture and avant-garde design.
