Harry Potter star Tom Felton is injured during a golf game, admitted to a hospital

Harry Potter alum Tom Felton was struck by a falling ball during a game of golf in Wisconsin. The actor was admitted to the hospital as soon as he fell.

Tom Felton, popular for his role as Draco Malfoy from The Harry Potter series was stricken by a collapse during a famous golf tournament in Wisconsin’s Whistling Straits Golf Course on Thursday. The incident occurred one day after his birthday.

The Professional Golfers Association of America released an announcement confirming the medical incident and also stated the person who was injured was transported to a hospital within a short time.

“In today’s Ryder Cup Celebrity Match, actor and musician Tom Felton experienced a medical incident on the course while participating for Europe,” the statement reads, as the story was published in The Independent. “He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.”

The Independent also revealed that Tom was in a team event along with Teemu Selanne who is a former professional hockey player. The report from The BBC, Tom, and Teemu were playing the 1980 US Olympic hockey captain Mike Eurzione and Olympic speed skater Dan Jansen in the match.

On his 34th birthday, Tom posted a monochrome photo of himself and thanked everybody for their birthday wishes. Tom wrote, “33 years done – good lord it’s been so much fun getting here – yet, somehow, I still feel the best is yet to come – thank you all for your love, support & sense of humor – let’s keep a good thing going – to the next 33.”

 

Tom Felton played the character Draco Malfoy within the Harry Potter series. After the conclusion of the show, Tom has been in several films and TV shows. Tom was a part of the DC superhero show The Flash, in which he played Julian Albert in season 3. He also was the host of the American sci-fi drama Origin. The series, which ran for ten episodes, also featured Harry Potter alum, Natalia Tena.
